Jere Hietala is talented and a well known advertising photographer, who has had an amazing impact on the photography business in Finland. He mainly works for advertising agencies and listed companies f.ex. Nokia, L’Oreal, NSN, DNA etc. As a recognition, he has been awarded a variety of prizes both locally and internationally.

Jere Hietala's career began as an assistant at a Helsinki-based photography studio in 2001. While there, he applied and got into School of Visual Communications (VVI), where he attended two different degree courses.

In 2003, Jere was invited to document the activities of the local military in Abu Dhabi. He spent six months in the U.A.E learning new things about photography, but he also gained great deal of life experience.

Upon his return to Finland, Jere set out to build his own company, and challenged himself to make each photo better than the last.

Within seven years of working with some of the biggest agencies / companies in the world, Hietala has photographed personalities as diverse as artist 50 Cent, NBA superstar Blake Griffin, TV-personality Conan O'Brien, F1 drivers Kimi Räikkönen and Heikki Kovalainen, actress Pauley Perrette, and Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari to name just few.

His ability to create scenes of “design” reality using rich and vibrant techniques including matte painting, miniature models, and 3D rendering brings to his work unique style and uncompromising depth.

Today, Jere works between the Europe and the US.
