Documentary

Over the past 15 years, my documentary work has taken me across a wide range of environments, cultures and human experiences. Through long-form storytelling, I have focused on subjects connected to conservation, preparedness, security and the realities that often remain outside public attention.

My work is driven by a desire to document people, environments and situations with honesty and perspective — creating stories that build understanding rather than spectacle.

Among the most meaningful projects in my career have been documentary collaborations connected to Finnish national defense and conservation work in Southern Africa, as well as the television documentary series Jere Hietala: On the Trail of Poachers.

Director

As a director, I approach filmmaking through a cinematic and visually intentional style shaped by my background in professional photography. Every frame serves the story, atmosphere and emotional rhythm of the project.

My directing work has included commercials, documentary productions and music videos, including the award-winning Cheek – Timantit on ikuisia, recipient of the EMMA Award for Best Music Video.
